AR Journey of Iqbal
Digital Munich, in collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy, brought Allama Iqbal’s poetic legacy to life with the ‘AR Journey with Iqbal’ app, enhancing global appreciation and cultural tourism through augmented reality.
Allama Iqbal, the renowned Poet of the East, made profound contributions to South Asian literature and philosophy. However, his legacy is often underrepresented in digital formats, limiting global access to his works. The Pakistan Embassy in Berlin aimed to enhance the visibility of Iqbal’s influence and promote cultural tourism.
Digital Munich partnered with the Pakistan Embassy to create the “Journey with Iqbal” app. This augmented reality (AR) experience immerses users in Iqbal’s poetry and philosophy, allowing them to interact with his work and explore his historical context in a dynamic and engaging way.
The app brings Allama Iqbal’s legacy to life, making his contributions more accessible and engaging for a global audience. Featured at the Pakistan Embassy’s digital tourism corner and international events like ITB Berlin, it promotes Pakistan’s rich literary heritage and enhances its appeal as a cultural tourism destination. This initiative bridges the gap between Iqbal’s historical impact and contemporary audiences, supporting the growth of Pakistan’s tourism sector.
